About the Team

Chad Weckler
Chad has been a professional photographer for over 40 years, and he has been trained as an artist consultant by the New York Foundation for the Arts. He can be heard monthly on local radio station WGXC hosting The Art of the Hudson Valley. Chad produced the Hudson Music Festival for four years (2011-2014) which became New York State’s largest free music festival. He produced the Hudson Summerfest in 2017.
Chad organized Hudson’s first Creative Economy Workshop that was held at the Hudson Opera House in December 2010, and Hudson-Creative was born!

Mark Orton
Mark has worked as an R&D machinist, draftsman, mechanical engineer, and senior manager in many areas in electronics manufacturing. He co-founded a software company (now part of IBM), and for over ten years he has consulted to owners of startups and small businesses. With his wife Karen they rebuilt two homes in Cambridge MA performing most of the work themselves. Mark served on the Board of Trustees of the Hudson Area Library from 2010 to 2016 including five years as President.
